We’ve lined up some events throughout Welcome Weeks and September to invite you to learn more about the library and how library services will support your academic career — keep reading to learn more. Take a tour of the library
What’s in the library? And how do you use it? Come for a tour of your Patrick Power Library and find out how the library can enhance your academic experience!
Knowing how to use the library is an essential research skill for university students: You’ll need to use library resources to complete many of your assignments. You’ll learn where to get assignment help, where to find quiet study space, and where to find books and academic journal articles.
Tours are scheduled throughout September. Please RSVP for a tour, as space is limited.
Escape the Library!
Do you have what it takes to find the missing flash drive and #EscapeTheLibrary? Try an escape room this fall and challenge yourself learn more about your Patrick Power Library!
Here’s the situation: You’ve been working on a group project for your class, and it’s due today. You all agree to meet in a group study room in the Patrick Power Library to go over the final project. You and your group arrive to find a huge mess in the study room, and your group leader missing! This is DISASTROUS – your group leader has the flash drive with your finished assignment on it! You MUST find that flash drive fast, or you’ll be late to class!
Everyone is welcome to play! Escape the Library takes about 20 minutes to play. Come by yourself or with a group of friends. RSVP is encouraged to secure a time slot, but not required.
A virtual escape room is also available to play throughout September. You can play this on your own or with a friend, at any time!
